Oporto Golf Club
Oporto Golf Club is the oldest golf club in Portugal. It begins with a par 4 against the famous nortada, the prevailing north wind, which makes it rather difficult. The approach to the green, which is narrow and doubletiered, turns this first hole into an excellent test for any player.|Although holes 4 and l1 are the most difficult ones, we consider the par-4 7th and par-3 14th to be the best that can be designed in terms of golf. The 9th and 18th, normally offer good opportunities for birdies, making a pleasant finish to a competition. In a superb atmosphere which is possible only among the traditionally hospitable people from the North of Portugal, the Oporto Club offers excellent facilities in its clubhouse, with a restaurant that is a general favourite of its members for eating out.

Much better experience with the use of scooters however they could do with someone making sure all necessary straps are attached. My clubs kept slipping off the back because the was no retention strap to keep it in place.

Very busy golf course- some player did not follow the normal '' golf behavior rules'' on course. Somehow unorganized set-up there.

People were friendly and helpful. Course was in good repair except for aerated greens. No buggies. Walking g only.

Tres bonne expérience, bon accueil, greens parfaits (malgré un carottage récent) et très roulant, fairways moyen seul bémol la signalétique du parcours qui oblige à faire très attention à la sortie d’un trou au risque de perdre du temps pour trouver le bon chemin. -**- Very good experience, good welcome, perfect greens (despite recent coring) and very rolling, fairways average only downside the signage of the course that requires you to be very careful at the exit of a hole at the risk of losing time to find the right path..

I guess we were a bit underwhelmed about all aspects of the course. Maybe if the weather had been a tad kinder......

Parcours bien entretenu sans aucune difficulté. Situé dans un environnement très moyen. Par contre le club house est magnifique. -**- Well-maintained course with no difficulties. Located in a very average environment. However, the clubhouse is magnificent.
